Goal management is a key tool for optimising planning and performance within a sales team. With the GoalManagerfunctionality, users can set personal and team targets, track progress in detail, and enhance performance through a flexible goal assignment system.

Types of Goal Assignments in Sage Sales Management

The Premium version of GoalManager allows users to assign and manage both individual and team goals. Below is an explanation of each type:

1. Individual Goals

Each user can create and manage their own goals. Additionally, team leaders can assign individual goals to their team members, which take precedence over the goals set by users themselves.

  • Both the user and their manager can track the goal’s progress.

  • Only the team leader can edit the goal.

2. Standard Team Goals

The team leader can define a shared team goal, where all members contribute towards achieving it. This type of goal does not require specifying individual contributions.

3. Aggregated Team Goals

Unlike standard team goals, an aggregated team goal allows managers to allocate specific quotas to each team member.

  • The total goal is the sum of the individual targets assigned to each team member.

  • For example, if the goal is to complete 10 check-ins per week, the distribution could be as follows:

    • Anna: 3

    • David: 3

    • Silvia: 4

Team leaders can assign these goals only from the web version of Sage Sales Management, under the GoalManagermenu.
