Goals in Sage Sales Management

Sage Sales Management allows users to define various goals to improve planning efforts and optimise work towards established targets.

Goals can be set for different periods (daily, weekly, monthly, etc.). Additionally, with GoalManager Premium, both individual and team goals can be established.

The goal report provides a detailed analysis of activity progress, helping to identify trends and areas for improvement in achieving defined objectives.

How to Manage a Goal History Report from the Web

To generate a Goal History Report, goals must first be defined in Sage Sales Management.

Accessing the Report

  1. Log in to Sage Sales Management and go to the "Reports" menu.

  2. A menu with different options will appear. Navigate to the "User Analysis" folder.

  3. Within this folder, download the "Goal History Report" by clicking on the file name.

Customising the Report

Before downloading the report, you can customise its settings:

  • Download Format: Choose between PDF, XLS (Excel), or DOC (Word).

  • Date Range: Select a start date from the calendar. The report will display data for the periods prior to the selected date (weekly, monthly, quarterly, etc.).

Report Analysis

    • The horizontal axis represents the selected time period.

    • The vertical axis shows the level of goal achievement.

    • The orange line represents the final achieved result.

    • The blue line indicates the expected goal.

  • Tracking Table:

    • Provides a detailed breakdown of goal achievement over selected periods.

    • The first column represents the earliest period, and the last column represents the most recent.

    • Includes targeted goals and percentage of completion for each period.

This analysis helps visualise goal progression and compare actual results with the expected targets.

Team Goal

The report also offers an analysis of a team goal’s progress over a defined period.

Report Elements:

  • Team Goal Achievement Graph:

    • Displays the average goal achievement of the team over the selected period (e.g., weekly).

    • The horizontal axis represents the analysed time period.

    • The vertical axis shows the level of goal completion.

    • The orange line reflects the team’s average performance.

    • The blue line indicates the expected goal.

  • Team Tracking Table:

    • The first row represents the overall team goal achievement.

    • The subsequent rows display individual team members’ performance.

    • Includes goal targets, achieved results, and completion percentages for each period.

    • The first column represents the oldest period, while the last column represents the most recent.

This analysis helps evaluate both collective and individual performance, identifying areas for improvement and optimisation in goal planning.
