How to Create a Goal in the Web Version

  1. Navigate to the "Goals" menu in the web application.

  2. Click the "Create" button in the upper right corner.

  3. Fill in the following fields in the creation form:

1. Goal Assignment

  • Individual or Team (Standard or Aggregated)

2. Goal Category

Goals are analysed individually and can be set according to the following categories:

  • Geolocated check-ins

  • Management visits (non-geolocated)

  • New companies

  • New opportunities

  • Won opportunities

  • Sales (imported from external software or ERP)

3. Goal Segmentation

When creating a goal, users can define advanced conditions to segment the data and personalise their strategy.

  • Multiple conditions or condition groups can be added using AND/OR operators.

  • Example: A goal could include opportunities in a specific status and from a particular country.

4. Goal Name

  • If no segmentation is applied, the goal name will automatically match the selected category.

  • For segmented goals, it is recommended to set a custom goal name.

5. Goal Periodicity

Define the time period in which the goal should be achieved:

  • Daily

  • Weekly (customisable start day)

  • Monthly (customisable start day)

  • Quarterly, Semi-Annually, and Annually (customisable start month and day)

6. Goal Target Value

  • For individual and standard team goals, the team leader sets the goal target.

  • For aggregated team goals, the total value is distributed among team members.

  • Values can be adjusted manually and planned to vary based on seasonality.


Managing Goals from the Mobile App

Users can manage and track their goals from the Sage Sales Management mobile app on Android and iOS.

How to Create a Goal from the Mobile App

  1. Open the Dashboard and tap "Add Goal".

  2. Select the goal category (e.g., check-ins, new opportunities, etc.).

  3. Enter the required details:

    • Target value (e.g., 10, 50, 100…)

    • Segmentation type (if applicable)

    • Tracking period (weekly, monthly, quarterly…)

    • Goal name

Editing and Deleting Goals in the Mobile App

  • Users can edit or delete their own goals at any time.

  • Goals assigned by a manager cannot be modified or deleted by the user.

Reordering Goals in the Dashboard

  • Drag and drop goals to rearrange them in the preferred order.

  • Goals assigned by a manager always appear first and cannot be modified.


Tracking and Analysing Goals

Goals are updated in real time as sales activities progress.

Goal Colour Indicators

Goals are colour-coded for easier tracking:

  • Green: Goal achieved or exceeded.

  • Orange: More than half of the goal completed.

  • Red: Less than half of the goal completed.

Tracking Individual and Standard Team Goals

Clicking on a goal provides:

  • General information: Description, data, and configuration details.

  • Activity logs related to the goal.

For standard team goals, the combined team activity is displayed.

Tracking Aggregated Team Goals

  • An overview of the entire team's progress.

  • Individual contributions of each team member.


Requesting Custom Goals

If you require a custom goal that is not available in the standard GoalManager configuration, please contact your Customer Success Manager or the Sage Sales Management support team to evaluate a tailored solution.
