Overview

The integration of products between Sage 50 UKI and Sage Sales Management (SSM) operates as a one-way synchronisation.
Product data flows from Sage 50 UKI to SSM, allowing users to view key product information in a read-only format.

Products include the following fields: product code, name, description, images, price, and price levels.

Synchronisation Flow

  • Initial Load: All product records from Sage 50 UKI are synchronised into SSM.

  • When a product is created or updated in Sage 50 UKI, the change is automatically reflected in SSM.

If a product is deleted in Sage 50 UKI, it will be automatically removed from Sage Sales Management during synchronisation and will no longer be visible.

Price Validation Note

During quotation synchronisation, Sage 50 UKI is responsible for calculating and assigning prices to each product line based on its internal pricing logic.
When a quotation is created in Sage Sales Management, it is sent directly to Sage 50 UKI, where the prices are determined.
As a result, pricing may vary depending on updates or rules defined in Sage 50 UKI, and the final values may not match those initially displayed in SSM.

Stock Item Types

For product records where stock tracking does not apply, the stock field in SSM will display a dash (“–”) to indicate the absence of stock management.

Product Images

Images associated with products in Sage 50 UKI are also synchronised.
These images are automatically displayed in the corresponding product record within SSM.

Inactive Products

If a product is marked as inactive in Sage 50 UKI, it will appear in SSM as not available.
This ensures visibility of historical data while clearly indicating that the item is no longer active for commercial use.

⚠️ Important Notes

  • Products can only be created and maintained in Sage 50 UKI.

  • It is not possible to create or edit product records from within Sage Sales Management.
