Within the Admin section, you can perform advanced customisation of your custom fields.

To create an extra field, click the “Create Field” button.

A dropdown will open for you to enter all the information related to the new field you want to add (those with an asterisk (*) are mandatory and must be filled in to create the extra field).

To create a custom field in ForceManager, you need to complete a specific set of information. Below is a breakdown of each of these fields and their purposes to facilitate reading and understanding.

Information to Complete

1. Entity

Description: Autocompleted field indicating the entity where the extra field is being created.

Visibility: It will be visible to the user in the corresponding entity.

2. Field Name

Description: Descriptive name of the field.

Display: In the entity table, it is shown in the BD Name column with the prefix “Z_-”, differentiating standard fields from custom ones.

3. Data Type

Description: Selection of the data type of the field.

Options: Text (maximum characters), list of values, multi-value list, integer, decimal, currency, date and time, bit (boolean), percentage.

Additional Fields: Depending on the selected option, additional fields will be displayed for completion.

4. Default Value

Description: The value that will appear by default in the field.

Variations:

Regular (text, number, etc.): Enter the desired default value.

List of values/multi-values: Select one or several values by ID, not by name or description.

5. Visibility by Environments

Description: Determine the environments where the created field will be visible.

6. Tab

Description: Select the tab in which this extra field will be grouped.

Options: If no tab is assigned, the field will appear in the general or default tab.

7. Description

Description: The name of the field that the end user will see.

8. Dynamic Field

Description: Define if the field will be dynamic, affecting its visibility and movement between value lists.

9. Dynamism Values

Description: Values that will make the field appear or not.

10. Dependent Field

Description: Enabled only if the data type is list of values or multi-value list.

Configuration: Select the values that will determine the dependency from the “value lists” menu.

General Configuration

Visible on All Devices: The field will be visible on both mobile devices and the web.

Visible on Mobile (Android/iOS): The field will only be visible on mobile devices.

Include in Views: Allows this field to be available when creating views.

Include in Searches: The text in this field will be considered in searches.

Mandatory: Defines if the field is mandatory.

Read Only: The field marked as read-only will not be shown in CRUDs, only in details.

Search Suggestion: Allows this field to appear as a suggestion during searches.

Create tabs

A tab is a grouping of different extra or custom fields. You can create as many tabs as you need to group extra fields.

To create a tab, click the “Create Tab” button.

To create the tab, complete the following fields:

Values list*. Autocompleted with the entity you are in. The value can be changed, and you can choose any entity from the list of values.

Description*. Descriptive field of the tab.
