Overview

The contact integration between Sage 50 UKI and Sage Sales Management (SSM) supports two-way synchronisation, enabling seamless visibility and maintenance of contact records across both platforms.

Two-Way Synchronisation

Contacts can be created in either platform and will be synchronised bidirectionally.

  • A contact created in Sage 50 UKI will appear in SSM.

  • A contact created in SSM will be sent to Sage 50 UKI.

  • Updates made to contact records in either system will be reflected in the other.

Editing Contacts

Contact records can be modified in both systems.
Changes to key fields such as name, phone number, email address, and job title will be synchronised automatically.

Deletion Policy

Deletion is handled in a one-way direction:

  • If a contact is deleted in Sage 50 UKI, the record will be marked as deleted in SSM.

  • If a contact is deleted in SSM, the deletion will not be propagated to Sage 50 UKI.

Contact Filtering

Only relevant contacts are synchronised between the systems, based on specific rules:

  • In Sage 50 UKI, only records flagged as contact addresses are eligible for synchronisation.

  • In SSM, contacts created will be synchronised to Sage 50 UKI only if they meet the integration criteria (e.g. associated with an account, valid address type, etc.).

This ensures that only usable and appropriate contact records are exchanged, preventing duplication and reducing noise in the system.
