Once the process is successfully completed, the "Synchronise" button will change to "Stop synchronisation", indicating that synchronisation is active. Additionally, the option to edit the synchronisation settings for email and calendar will be enabled.
How to activate synchronisation from mobile devices?
Follow the notification steps in your Dashboard, which will intuitively guide you to the synchronisation options within your profile.
Just like in the web version, verification of your credentials via login to your email provider account will be required. Once your account is validated and synchronisation is completed, the "Stop synchronisation" option will appear in red.
How does bidirectional email and calendar synchronisation work?
1. Email Synchronisation
With this feature, Sage Sales Management automatically logs sent and received emails from contacts and companies in the CRM. The generated activity will include:
Subject
Content
Attachments
📌 Note: These automatic activities cannot be edited or deleted from Sage Sales Management.
2. Calendar Synchronisation
This function allows you to manage events and tasks from Sage Sales Management or your email provider, ensuring both calendars remain synchronised.
Key aspects:
If the event is created in Sage Sales Management, any edits will be reflected in your email provider and vice versa.
If you are invited to an external event, you will see it in Sage Sales Management, but you cannot edit it.
If the event includes external guests who are not in the CRM, only their email addresses will be displayed.
Recurring events will be displayed but cannot be edited from Sage Sales Management.
You will receive an email notification when an event is added, but not for modifications to existing events.
Events that are not yet accepted will also appear in the CRM.
Supported providers for calendar synchronisation
Sage Sales Management supports the following email services:
✅ Gmail
✅ Microsoft Exchange
✅ Outlook.com
✅ Yahoo! Mail
✅ iCloud (with restrictions)
IMAP and POP3 Protocol Compatibility
IMAP: Allows email management within Sage Sales Management, but does not synchronise calendars.
POP3: Not supported, as it downloads messages to the device and removes them from the server, preventing synchronisation.
Email Synchronisation with IMAP
IMAP and POP are two methods for accessing email.
IMAP
IMAP allows you to access your emails from anywhere and any device. When you read an email using IMAP, you are not actually downloading or storing it on your computer; instead, you are viewing it directly from the email service. As a result, you can check your emails from different devices, anywhere in the world: your phone, a computer, or a friend's computer.
It is important to note that the IMAP protocol does not support calendar synchronisation—only email synchronisation.
Additionally, synchronisation does not support servers configured with the POP3 protocol.
To proceed with synchronisation, within the provider options, click on the text link "View all providers", where additional provider options will appear.
A new window will open, and you must select Custom "IMAP":
Select "IMAP" again.
Finally, a new window will open, allowing you to enter your login credentials. These should be your Sage Sales Management username and the email account password (not your Sage Sales Management password).
You will also be required to enter your IMAP Server information, which should be requested from your email provider.
If the entered details are correct, you will return to the Email and Calendar Synchronisation screen, where you will see the message:
The modification has been successfully completed.
How to check if the server details are correct?
To verify if the server details are correct, we ask the user to perform a connectivity test using the following link: IMAP Connectivity Test
If the entered details are correct, they will appear in green. Otherwise, they will appear in red, indicating that the details provided by the provider are incorrect for completing the synchronisation.
