1. What is the purpose of the Check-in feature for an Opportunity?
The Check-in feature allows you to report a physical visit at the location where the opportunity is geolocated, regardless of whether it corresponds to the company's location, as long as it is within 500 meters of the customer's office. By default, the option to record physical sales visits (check-ins) can only be activated from the Accounts menu. However, if you need to report visits to a specific opportunity, you can activate geolocation.
2. When should you report a visit to an opportunity rather than an account?
You may need to report some of your visits to an opportunity instead of an account, such as when you are working with clients in the construction industry and visits are made on sites rather than at the head office. In such cases, you can report visits in Opportunities by activating geolocation.
3. How to use the Check-in feature for an Opportunity?
When the geolocation feature is activated for your opportunities, you will see a Check-in button when selecting an opportunity. You can only use this feature when you are within 500 meters of an opportunity.
