What does this feature allow?

You can now view your Power BI dashboards directly within Sage Sales Management, without leaving the application.

With this integration, Power BI dashboards behave like any other dashboard in the system, allowing:

  • Direct visualisation from Metrics & Reports → Dashboards via an iframe

  • Anchoring within the Dashboards entity, just like a standard panel

  • Authenticated access, so you can view your Power BI data after signing in, with the session usually remaining active

This integration helps you centralise your analytics in one place, providing a seamless, unified experience.

Steps to embed a Power BI report

1. Copy your Power BI report URL

  1. Open the report you wish to embed in Power BI.

  2. Go to File → Embed report → Website or portal.

  3. Copy the iframe or public URL that is generated

🔍 Make sure the report is published and shared with the right users in Power BI.

2. Add the dashboard in Sage Sales Management

  1. Log in to Sage Sales Management with an admin profile.

  2. Go to Metrics & Reports → Dashboards.

  3. Click on Add Power BI Dashboard.

  4. Enter a title for the panel.

  5. Paste the Power BI report URL.

  6. Click Save.

The new dashboard will appear in the list alongside the existing panels.

3. View the report from the app

When you open the dashboard, the report is displayed embedded via an iframe.
The first time you access it, Power BI may ask you to log in for authentication.
Once authenticated, you can view the report directly from within Sage Sales Management.
In most cases, your session remains active, so you won’t need to log in again when switching panels.

The embedded charts are available both in the web app and in the mobile version, accessible from phones and tablets.

Best practices:

-Double-check your Power BI publishing permissions before sharing the link.

-Use clear, descriptive titles to help your team identify the dashboards.

-Make sure the layout works well on both desktop and mobile.

What are the benefits?

  • Centralise key reporting without switching platforms

  • Improve efficiency and decision-making

  • Make it easier for your team to access live, visual data
