What is Smart Insights?

Smart Insights is a Sage Copilot feature that gives you a structured, prioritised overview of a company’s current status. It gathers and processes data from your ERP system and commercial activity to help you prepare for meetings or key interactions more effectively.

What does it do?

From the company record, you can open a unified view with an up-to-date summary. The information is grouped, organised and tailored to the commercial context, so you can understand it quickly—without having to review every section manually.

This summary acts as a dynamic snapshot and provides:

  • A 360º view of the customer

  • Key data presented in natural language

  • Integrated insights from ERP and commercial activity

  • Immediate access from the company view

  • Smooth experience on both desktop and mobile

You'll only see the “Update summary” option when the data is outdated. Once you generate a new summary, this option disappears automatically until changes are detected again.


Quick access queries with Copilot

From the company record, you’ll find several shortcut buttons that allow you to launch predefined queries in Sage Copilot. These are designed to help you interact more easily with the assistant by giving you useful examples of what you can ask.

You can click on one button to start the conversation and follow up with more questions. For example, start with Activity summary, ask about a specific interaction, and then move on to Business opportunities to get tailored suggestions.

This flexible approach lets you move between different blocks of information quickly, without leaving the Copilot view.

Available buttons

  • Activity summary
    Request a chronological summary of recent interactions with this company.

  • Sales analysis
    Ask for a chart showing monthly sales totals over the last 6 months, grouped by month and total revenue.

  • Business opportunities
    Identify potential business opportunities based on available data and get recommended actions.

These buttons help you get the most out of Sage Copilot by guiding your interaction step by step.


When should you use Smart Insights?

Use this feature to prepare before:

  • Client meetings or visits

  • Follow-up or support calls

  • Planning or account review sessions

Get all relevant information in one place without navigating through different modules. This centralised approach saves time and helps you focus on what matters: understanding your customer and taking informed action.
