The Sage Copilot Chat functionality enables users to interact with company data using natural language. Integrated into the Activities section, it provides a flexible way to retrieve information, clarify questions, and generate contextual analyses about a customer or opportunity.
What does it do?
From the Activities section, users can initiate a conversation with Sage Copilot to query data from the ERP or commercial activity recorded in the system. Queries can be entered in natural language or dictated using voice commands.
The system also provides suggested prompts to guide the conversation. Available features include:
Open queries using natural language.
Voice dictation.
Suggested prompts to support analysis.
Responses in various formats: plain text, structured tables, and interactive charts.
Ability to download charts generated during the chat.
Common use cases
Sage Copilot Chat is designed to support decision-making during commercial interactions. Typical examples include:
Commercial analysis
Request a summary of sales, a list of recently purchased products, or a comparison with previous periods.
Meeting preparation
Review topics discussed in recent interactions or request suggestions for your next contact with the customer.
Opportunity follow-up
Ask about the current status of an opportunity, any pending actions, or suggested next steps.
Drafting email responses
From the email-related activity view, you can ask Copilot to draft a suggested reply or summarise the content of a received message. You can then continue the conversation in the chat and request additional information about the company or related data.
Practical application
This functionality can be used as support during sales calls, to prepare for a customer visit, or as a review tool before sending an email. Its main purpose is to provide fast, conversational access to key information.
The chat can act as a back-office assistant, responding immediately at any time, without the need to navigate through multiple views or reports.
Response and download formats
Copilot responses may appear as:
Plain text
Structured data tables
Downloadable charts
This allows users to easily reuse the information in presentations, emails or reports, without copying data manually.
