Geolocating accounts

1. Geolocating accounts on Android devices

When creating an account on Android devices, a pop up will appear asking you to geolocate the account. You can either choose your current position (if you are already at the company’s location) or you can look up for the address on the map.

ForceManager will use the coordinates to automatically fill in the account’s address, and thus geolocate your account.

If accounts have been created without any location, these can be added later. Select the account you wish to edit and tap “Update location”.

This option will also allow you to change the location of an account. Bear in mind that it will only change the coordinates of the account and not the address details.

1. Geolocating accounts on iOS devices

When creating an account on an iOS device, a pop up will appear asking you to geolocate the account. You can choose your current position (if you are already at the account’s location) or you can search the address on the map. You can also choose the option to “Geolocate later.”

In the first two cases, ForceManager will use coordinates to automatically fill in the data of the address selected on the account’s page, thus geolocating your account.

If accounts have been created without a location, these can be added later. Select the account you wish to edit and click the pencil icon in the top right of the screen. Scroll down and you will see a map with orange pin button in the bottom right. This button allows you to update the account’s location to your current position. Bear in mind that it will only change the coordinates of the account and not the details of the address.

If you want to change the location of an account you can do so by clicking on the map in the “Update Account” section. You can either enter a new address or hold your finger down on the new location.
