Summary
Each Sage Sales Management plan is designed to meet the needs of different types of organisations. For this reason, every licence provides a defined capacity for certain platform resources, such as the number of records, available storage or specific services.
This article explains what usage limits are, how to check your licence usage and what happens when one of these limits is reached.
What are usage limits?
Usage limits define the capacity available for specific resources within each Sage Sales Management licence.
Their purpose is to ensure the platform operates efficiently while providing a solution that is appropriate for the needs of each organisation.
Depending on your plan, these limits may apply to resources such as:
Number of accounts.
Number of contacts.
Number of opportunities.
Storage capacity.
Resources available for integrations and API usage.
Other resources related to platform administration.
Each licence provides different capacities for these resources.
Check your licence usage
You can check your licence usage at any time by going to:
My Profile > Manage Plan > Usage
This section allows you to review your current resource consumption and see how much capacity remains available.
Check the capacity of each plan
The resources available depend on the plan you have subscribed to.
To ensure this information is always up to date, the complete comparison of capacities and available resources for each licence is maintained on the official Sage Sales Management pricing page.
The Knowledge Base explains how usage limits work, while commercial information and the characteristics of each plan are maintained in their official source.
What happens when a limit is reached?
Reaching a usage limit does not remove any existing information.
However, once the available capacity for a specific resource has been reached, you may not be able to create additional records of that type until capacity is freed up or the resources available to your licence are increased.
Sage Sales Management displays notifications when a resource is approaching its capacity or when a limit has already been reached.
Usage notifications
Sage Sales Management provides information about resource usage in both the web application and the mobile app.
These notifications help you monitor resource consumption and allow you to take action before a limit is reached.
Depending on the resource, notifications may appear in lists, tables or while creating new records.
Increasing usage capacity
The capacity of some resources can be increased as your organisation’s needs evolve.
If you need additional capacity for any resource, contact your Sage Business Partner or the Sage Sales team to learn about the options available for your organisation.
