How does the hierarchical user view work?

View your team’s hierarchy, open user records, and explore the actions available to manage user details and access.

Written by Jon Trasobares

The hierarchical view in the Users menu shows each user’s position within your organisation. You can identify their managers and the people who report to them.

How to find and view a user

The hierarchy appears on the left side of the screen.

Use the search bar to find active or deactivated users. Select a user’s name to open their record.

What information does a user record contain?

The information is organised into two tabs:

  • User information: login details, personal information, and any additional fields.

  • Email synchronisation: settings for synchronising the user’s mailbox.

Available actions

The following actions appear at the top of the screen.

Edit

Select Edit to update the user’s information.

Duplicate

Select Duplicate to create a user based on the selected user.

Enter the new user’s details: nickname, first name, surname, email address, phone number, telephone extension, photo, and email settings.

The remaining settings are copied from the original user.

Deactivate

Select Deactivate to prevent the user from accessing the application. Their records, such as accounts, opportunities, and activities, remain saved.

Before deactivating the user, we recommend transferring their accounts and open opportunities to another user.

You can also reassign the people who report to them to another manager from Users in Sage Sales Management Admin.

You can reactivate the user at any time.

Send password

Select Send password to send a password reset email to the user’s registered email address.
