What is the Documents module?
The Documents module works as a library of files and links that you can access on the web and mobile app.
It brings together sales materials, such as catalogues, presentations, and supporting documents, for use in meetings or customer visits.
You can also add documents to an account record to keep them linked to that customer relationship.
Organise files and links
You can organise content into folders and subfolders according to its purpose, document type, or subject.
Alongside files, the library can include links to external resources, such as websites or videos.
Document management and folder settings depend on each user’s permissions. Administrators can configure folder visibility and security.
Find and view documents
The module offers several ways to access content:
Feature | Purpose |
Folders and subfolders | Browse files according to their organisation. |
Search by name | Find documents without browsing through folders. |
Recent | View the latest documents added. |
Favourites | Quickly access documents you have marked as important. |
You can download files to use them on your computer or mobile device.
Add and manage content
On the web, you can upload files, add links, and create folders.
On the mobile app, you can also add files and images, create folders, and take photos to add to the selected location.
Management options allow you to rename, share, and delete content, depending on your device and permissions.
To change a file’s content, download it, edit it, and upload it again.
Share documents
You can share documents with contacts, accounts, users, or other recipients.
This allows you to provide sales materials and supporting documents when following up with customers.
Sharing options vary depending on the device you use.
Documents linked to an account
The account record includes a space for adding specific documents, such as quotes, invoices, or photos of the business.
These documents are accessed from the account record and remain separate from the general library in the Documentsmodule.
This allows you to distinguish general materials from documents linked to a specific account.
