The Top Sales block of the Dashboard offers a detailed view of which customers and products generate the highest sales volume for your company.

These indicators are particularly useful for strategic decision-making, as they allow you to quickly identify priority commercial relationships, high-rotation products, and potential risks due to sales concentration.

Both indicators are based on posted sales invoices, and their values are automatically updated according to the time period selected in the Dashboard.

Overview

The Top Sales block of the Dashboard offers a detailed view of which customers and products generate the highest sales volume for your company.

These indicators are particularly useful for strategic decision-making, as they allow you to quickly identify priority commercial relationships, high-rotation products, and potential risks due to sales concentration.

Both indicators are based on posted sales invoices, and their values are automatically updated according to the time period selected in the Dashboard.


Top Sales by Customer

What does this indicator show?

This indicator displays the main customers ranked by sales volume.


Where does its data come from?

The data originates from sales invoices issued to customers, through the different options available in Sage 50:

  • Creation of sales invoice documents from the Sales module.

  • Creation of sales invoice records from the Accounting module.


How is it calculated?

In simplified terms, the calculation follows these steps:

  1. Sales invoices issued to customers are retrieved.

  2. The taxable base of all records is consolidated.

  3. The total is grouped by customer.


Key points to consider

  • Sales invoices must be posted.

  • Values displayed are net of taxes.

  • The displayed value depends on the selected time filter: Current week / Current month / Current year.


Why is it relevant for my business?

This indicator enables you to quickly identify your most important customers and define focused strategies to retain and develop these accounts.

It is also very useful for visualising the risk of dependency, by showing whether the company’s turnover is concentrated in a small number of clients.


Where can I view the details of the included invoices?

You can view the invoices considered for this indicator by navigating to:

“Sales module > Reports > Invoices.”

Below is an example of how to configure the report to display sales by customer.

Remember to adjust the “From Date – To Date” range to filter the information for the period you need interese.

What does this indicator show?

This indicator displays the main products and/or services ranked by sales volume.


Where does its data come from?

The data originates exclusively from sales invoice documents created in the Sales module, as these are the only documents that include detailed product and service information.


How is it calculated?

In simplified terms, the calculation follows these steps:

  1. Sales invoices issued to customers are retrieved.

  2. The taxable base of all records is consolidated.

  3. The total is grouped by product.

  • Sales invoices must be posted.

  • Values displayed are net of taxes.
