Overview

This section of the Dashboard provides a clear view of your company’s cash position.

The Pending Collections and Pending Payments indicators show, separately, the amounts not yet due and the amounts already past their due date.

This information is essential for anticipating liquidity needs and making timely decisions regarding cash-flow management.

Both indicators are based on forecasts generated from registered invoices or from the Sage 50 Accounting module, and are automatically updated according to the period selected in the Dashboard.

Pending Collections

What does this indicator show?

This indicator displays two values related to outstanding amounts to be collected from customers:

  • The amount of collection forecasts not yet due.

  • The amount of collection forecasts past their due date.

Where does its data come from?

The data originates from collection forecasts generated in Sage 50 through different options:

  • Forecasts generated from sales invoice documents in the Sales module.

  • Forecasts generated from sales invoice records in the Accounting module.

  • Manual forecasts created in the Accounting module.

  • Consolidated forecasts generated in the Accounting module.

How is it calculated?

Pending collections not yet due

  • Forecasts with a due date equal to or later than the Dashboard update date are retrieved.

  • The taxable base of all records is consolidated.

Pending collections already due

  • Forecasts with a due date earlier than the Dashboard update date are retrieved.

  • The taxable base of all records is consolidated.

Key points to consider

  • Values displayed include taxes.

  • The value depends on the selected time filter: Current week / Current month / Current year.

  • The time filter is applied to the due date to determine the amount that is due or overdue within the selected period.

Why is it relevant for my business?

This indicator is crucial for cash-flow planning and liquidity management, as it provides:

  • An estimate of future incoming cash,

  • An alert on the risk associated with the volume of overdue debt,

  • Insight into when it may be necessary to take action to recover outstanding amounts.

Where can I view the details of the included forecasts?
