Overview
This article explains how to send a Quotation created in Sage Sales Management (SSM) to Sage 50 UKI for price validation and finalisation. Once the quotation is synchronised and marked as final, any further edits must be managed directly in Sage 50.
How it works
1. Requirements
To ensure proper synchronisation between SSM and Sage 50 UKI, the following components must be in place:
The connector must be active and correctly configured.
The server where Sage 50 and the connector are installed must be running and connected to the internet.
✅ If these conditions are met, synchronisation will occur automatically.
2. Automatic synchronisation upon creation
Once a Quotation is created in SSM, it is automatically synchronised with Sage 50 UKI while remaining in Draft status. At this stage:
Sage 50 calculates the latest pricing details.
The user in SSM can continue editing the Quotation if needed.
3. Finalising the Quotation
When the Quotation is ready to be final:
Open the Quotation in SSM by clicking the edit icon (pencil).
Locate the field “Final Sync with Sage 50”.
Set this field to Yes.
Save the Quotation.
After saving:
The Quotation status will update to Pending final sync.
The final synchronisation process with Sage 50 will begin via the connector.
Once confirmed, the Quotation will be updated in Sage 50 and become read-only in SSM.
